last week, daniela and her mom visited madrid, exploring the city on foot — something they love doing together, despite the heatwave currently engulfing all of europe. they relished the quieter delights madrid has to offer: impressions left in the stone of hundred-year-old buildings, a door with a built-in mail slot, incredible food (like an appetizer consisting of half a giant tomato, sprinkled with sumac, salt, and olive oil from farah), trying out horchata de chufa from tiny cafés, and — of course — wearing ARC everywhere they wandered.
